Dr Mark Haran

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Mark Haran has practiced on the Northern Beaches for almost two decades. He has a long established relationship with local doctors, specialists and service providers in the area. Dr Haran’s special interests include orthopaedic, geriatric and general rehabilitation. He has formal post-graduate training in Evidenced-Based Medicine and Research methods as well as quality health service delivery. Dr Haran assesses patients in the Royal North Shore Hospital Falls and Fracture Prevention Service, a service which he was a co-founder in 2000.

Dr Martin Kennedy

Rehabilitation, Pain and Palliative Specialist

Dr Martin Kennedy graduated from Sydney University in 1984 and proceeded to train in Rehabilitation, Palliative and Pain Medicine specialties in both Australia and the UK over the subsequent 15 years. He has significant experience, having practiced in an integrated manner in all three speciality areas in both Public and Private settings in Sydney over the past 20 plus years.

Dr Kennedy is passionate about providing intimate, compassionate, individualised, team based subacute care to all of his patients and particularly those with complex, multidimensional and life limiting illnesses.

Dr Yvette Kosch

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Yvette Kosch completed her medical degree at the University of NSW in 1999, followed by a 4 year postgraduate training program in rehabilitation Medicine. She has worked as a Rehabilitation specialist since 2007, with an interest in Aged care, Orthopaedic and Neurological conditions.

Dr Kosch has extensive experience in Neurological rehabilitation as a former Staff Specialist in Traumatic Brain Injury and has published research in this field. She consults in Complex Care health conditions (Chronic Cardiac and Respiratory disease) at Mona Vale hospital community health. Dr Kosch also consults at RSL LifeCare Narrabeen where she has developed an innovative program for Rehabilitation of the older person.

Dr Victoria Keighran

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Victoria Keighran obtained her medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2009 and completed her 5 year postgraduate specialisation in Rehabilitation Medicine in tertiary level teaching hospitals throughout Sydney.

Dr Keighran is passionate about providing holistic patient-centred care and enjoys working with individuals with complex care needs in order to optimise their independence and quality of life.  She has particular interest in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, critical illness and neurological rehabilitation.

Dr Fari Jashnany

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Fari Jashnany is a Rehabilitation Physician who undertook his training in rehabilitation in Sydney from 2003 and commenced in private practice in 2009. Dr Jashnany has experience in a wide range of rehabilitation with particular  interest in Orthopaedic, Cardio-respiratory and Neurological rehabilitation.

Dr Anthony Suen

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Anthony Suen was born and raised in Sydney, and undertook his medical training at the University of Sydney. In addition to his medical degree he also has a clinical research background in musculoskeletal physiology. He obtained his residency at Royal North Shore Hospital prior to commencing his career in Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr Suen has been a Rehabilitation Physician since 2012. His areas of expertise include Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury. He is also an accredited Workcover impairment assessor.

Dr Su Yen Ng

Geriatrician

Dr Su Yen Ng is a geriatrician and graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009. She obtained the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017 and is establishing her practice in the Northern Beaches.

Dr Ng’s subspecialty interest is in community geriatrics and enjoys providing specialist care in homes and residential aged care facilities. She is an advocate for healthy ageing and strives to optimise the independence of the elderly in the community.

Dr Welkee Sim

Geriatrician

Dr Welkee Sim is a physician and has been practising in the field of geriatric medicine since 2005. He is a graduate of The University of Queensland and obtained his physician qualification (FRACP) in 2007.

Dr Sim is passionate about the health of the elderly in the community, especially with regards to quality of life issues and strongly believes in supporting independent living for as long as possible. He also places great importance on educating family members and carers so as to reduce carer stress.

Dr Ketan Bhatt

Geriatrician

Dr Ketan Bhatt is a geriatrician based at the Sydney Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga. He has a particular interest in the assessment and management of falls, cognitive disorders and peri-operative geriatric care. Dr Bhatt is a lecturer at the University of Sydney clinical school based at Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Dr Ming Loh

MBBS BSc (UNSW) FRACP
Geriatrician

Dr Ming Loh is a Geriatrician at Northern Beaches Hospital and a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. He has been practicing in the field of geriatric medicine since 2010 and was previously the clinical lead for Orthogeriatrics and Aged Care Rehabilitation at Westmead Hospital.

Dr Loh has expertise in falls prevention, healthy ageing and perioperative care of the elderly and is currently involved in projects with the Agency for Clinical Innovation and the Clinical Excellence Commission. He represents the Royal Australian College of Physicians on national perioperative medicine committees and is a federal councillor for the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine.

Dr Loh has expertise in preoperative patient assessments and has particular interest in caring for patients recovering after surgery.

Hospital Management Team

Arcadia Pittwater will operate under the direction of our Hospital Director – Kate Silver, who will be directly responsible to the Hospital Board. Kate will be supported by expert and talented nursing, allied health, food services, guest services and administration teams.

Anne Carroll

CORPORATE NURSING MANAGER

Anne is a registered nurse and has served as a Hospital Director and Director of Nursing at a number of private hospitals in Sydney a nursing career spanning over 30 years.

Kate Silver

HOSPITAL DIRECTOR

Our hospital team will be led by Kate Silver. Kate studied Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and on graduating she has worked in both the Public and Private Hospital sectors in Sydney and the United Kingdom. Kate has recently completed her Masters of Health Management and brings a wealth of clinical and managerial experience to her role with us here at Arcadia Pittwater Private Hospital.

Nicky Ward

ADMIN MANAGER

A former Clinical Nurse Specialist in Orthopaedics, Nicky now focuses her organisational skills on the administration side of healthcare. Since her nursing career, she has had extensive experience in Project and Product Management in the health software industry followed by a number of administrative roles. Her involvement in these areas has been in both large and small, public and private organisations. Nicky has recently completed her Cert IV in Clinical Classification.

Ruth Ryburn

CLINICAL REHABILITATION MANAGER

Ruth brings a wide range of experiences with her into the role of the Clinical Rehabilitation Manager.  Her nursing career spans differing roles including Clinical Nurse Specialist and Deputy Director of nursing in both the public and private sector.  She has worked in Australia and overseas in a variety of clinical settings including surgical, medical, aged care and rehabilitation.

Kerry Armitage

CLINICAL MEDICAL WARD MANAGER

Kerry’s professional background started as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse advancing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, into nursing education, recruitment and management roles in public and private facilities.

The focus of her clinical experience has been in palliative and end of life care for both adults and paediatrics, medical, cardiology, stroke and emergency care. Kerry is passionate about providing, and empowering her colleagues, to deliver exceptional, person centred and holistic care as the Nursing Unit Manager of the Medical, palliative and end of life care ward.

Yogesh Kunwar

FOOD SERVICES

Yogesh’s culinary career began at the Hyatt Regency in Nepal as Chef-de-Partie. He travelled to Australia in 2006 to broaden his skills and undertook a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery along with an Advanced Diploma of Business Management.

Over the last 12 years Yogesh has perfected his culinary skills and techniques by working in various Fine Dining Sydney Restaurants and is now thoroughly enjoying working in the state of the art commercial grade kitchen at Arcadia Pittwater.
