Dr Mark Haran

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Mark Haran has practiced on the Northern Beaches for almost two decades. He has a long established relationship with local doctors, specialists and service providers in the area. Dr Haran’s special interests include orthopaedic, geriatric and general rehabilitation. He has formal post-graduate training in Evidenced-Based Medicine and Research methods as well as quality health service delivery. Dr Haran assesses patients in the Royal North Shore Hospital Falls and Fracture Prevention Service, a service which he was a co-founder in 2000.

Dr Martin Kennedy

DGM (RCP Lond), MA (Health Research) (U Lanc)
Rehabilitation, Pain and Palliative Specialist

Dr Martin Kennedy graduated from Sydney University in 1984 and proceeded to train in Rehabilitation, Palliative and Pain Medicine specialties in both Australia and the UK over the subsequent 15 years. He has significant experience, having practiced in an integrated manner in all three speciality areas in both Public and Private settings in Sydney over the past 20 plus years.

Dr Kennedy is passionate about providing intimate, compassionate, individualised, team based subacute care to all of his patients and particularly those with complex, multidimensional and life limiting illnesses.

Dr Yvette Kosch

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Yvette Kosch completed her medical degree at the University of NSW in 1999, followed by a 4 year postgraduate training program in rehabilitation Medicine. She has worked as a Rehabilitation specialist since 2007, with an interest in Aged care, Orthopaedic and Neurological conditions.

Dr Kosch has extensive experience in Neurological rehabilitation as a former Staff Specialist in Traumatic Brain Injury and has published research in this field. She consults in Complex Care health conditions (Chronic Cardiac and Respiratory disease) at Mona Vale hospital community health. Dr Kosch also consults at RSL LifeCare Narrabeen where she has developed an innovative program for Rehabilitation of the older person.

Dr Fari Jashnany

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Fari Jashnany is a Rehabilitation Physician who undertook his training in rehabilitation in Sydney from 2003 and commenced in private practice in 2009. Dr Jashnany has experience in a wide range of rehabilitation with particular  interest in Orthopaedic, Cardio-respiratory and Neurological rehabilitation.

Dr Anthony Suen

Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Anthony Suen was born and raised in Sydney, and undertook his medical training at the University of Sydney. In addition to his medical degree he also has a clinical research background in musculoskeletal physiology. He obtained his residency at Royal North Shore Hospital prior to commencing his career in Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr Suen has been a Rehabilitation Physician since 2012. His areas of expertise include Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury. He is also an accredited Workcover impairment assessor.

Dr Su Yen Ng


Dr Su Yen Ng is a geriatrician and graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009. She obtained the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017 and is establishing her practice in the Northern Beaches.

Dr Ng’s subspecialty interest is in community geriatrics and enjoys providing specialist care in homes and residential aged care facilities. She is an advocate for healthy ageing and strives to optimise the independence of the elderly in the community.

Dr Welkee Sim


Dr Welkee Sim is a physician and has been practising in the field of geriatric medicine since 2005. He is a graduate of The University of Queensland and obtained his physician qualification (FRACP) in 2007.

Dr Sim is passionate about the health of the elderly in the community, especially with regards to quality of life issues and strongly believes in supporting independent living for as long as possible. He also places great importance on educating family members and carers so as to reduce carer stress.

Dr Ketan Bhatt


Dr Ketan Bhatt is a geriatrician based at the Sydney Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga. He has a particular interest in the assessment and management of falls, cognitive disorders and peri-operative geriatric care. Dr Bhatt is a lecturer at the University of Sydney clinical school based at Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Hospital Management Team

Arcadia Pittwater will operate under the direction of our Hospital Director – Kate Silver, who will be directly responsible to the Hospital Board. Kate will be supported by expert and talented nursing, allied health, food services, guest services and administration teams.

Anne Carroll


Anne is a registered nurse and has served as a Hospital Director and Director of Nursing at a number of private hospitals in Sydney a nursing career spanning over 30 years.

Kate Silver


Our hospital team will be led by Kate Silver. Kate studied Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and on graduating she has worked in both the Public and Private Hospital sectors in Sydney and the United Kingdom. Kate has recently completed her Masters of Health Management and brings a wealth of clinical and managerial experience to her role with us here at Arcadia Pittwater Private Hospital.

Nicky Ward


A former Clinical Nurse Specialist in Orthopaedics, Nicky now focuses her organisational skills on the administration side of healthcare. Since her nursing career, she has had extensive experience in Project and Product Management in the health software industry followed by a number of administrative roles. Her involvement in these areas has been in both large and small, public and private organisations. Nicky has recently completed her Cert IV in Clinical Classification.

Ruth Ryburn


Ruth brings a wide range of experiences with her into the role of the Clinical Rehabilitation Manager.  Her nursing career spans differing roles including Clinical Nurse Specialist and Deputy Director of nursing in both the public and private sector.  She has worked in Australia and overseas in a variety of clinical settings including surgical, medical, aged care and rehabilitation.

Leanne Hurrell


Leanne is a qualified Commercial Chef and Food stylist and has worked in Hospitality for over 36 years. During her years of experience she has worked for many high profile companies such as the Hilton and various International Corporate Catering Companies.

With over 17 years experience in Hospital and Aged Care catering, Leanne is extremely passionate about food and has a vast knowledge of all aspects of patient dietary requirements and menu planning.

Yogesh Kunwar


Yogesh’s culinary career began at the Hyatt Regency in Nepal as Chef-de-Partie. He travelled to Australia in 2006 to broaden his skills and undertook a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery along with an Advanced Diploma of Business Management.

Over the last 12 years Yogesh has perfected his culinary skills and techniques by working in various Fine Dining Sydney Restaurants and is now thoroughly enjoying working in the state of the art commercial grade kitchen at Arcadia Pittwater.

David Vaux


  • David sits across all areas of Arcadia’s activities, with a focus on business strategy, partnerships and funding
  • Former CEO of DCA Group (1998-2006). Under David’s leadership DCA became the largest private provider of Aged Care and Radiology services in Australia. DCA was capitalised at $50m in 1998 and acquired for $2.7bn in 2006
  • Founding Chairman and shareholder of GenesisCare, Australia’s largest provider of Radiation Oncology, Cardiology and Sleep treatments. GenesisCare has recently expanded internationally by acquiring the largest private providers of radiation oncology services in the UK and Spain. Enterprise value has grown from $200m to $1.7bn

Dr Harry Pannu


  • Dr. Pannu is responsible for day-to-day management of operations and business development of Arcadia
  • A Physician with 20 years clinical and managerial experience, Dr. Pannu formerly held senior roles including Director of hospitals, Medical Director, Director of business development and Innovation, and providing management and oversight of 11 hospitals
  • Former Corporate Director driving strategy, business acquisitions, transformation, growth and restructuring of hospitals, doubling the enterprise value in 3 years

Rob Lloyd


  • Managing Director of Breckenridge Property Group, a diversified property funds management, development and advisory company serving high net worth investors and major corporations such as Challenger, Mirvac, Valad and Corval.
  • A trained accountant, property valuer and real estate agent with over 25 years experience in the property development and financing industry including roles with Price Waterhouse and Macquarie Bank.

Robb Macnicol


  • Executive Director at Pacific Capital and has over 20 years’ experience in real estate, corporate finance, private capital markets, capital management, funds management, fund operations and investor reporting / communications
  • Formerly a Director within Macquarie Capital Advisers real estate industry team and prior to Macquarie, Robb was CEO of Stockland’s unlisted real estate funds business where he was also on the Stockland Executive Committee
